DSSR - E30 325i/iS (187mm)

When we developed our short shifter, our goal was to improve the BMW shifter assembly and increase the precision and smoothness of the overall operation. Given how well customers have responded to our Short Shift Kits, it only made sense to pursue our goal to perfection. We developed these in association with our partner Rennline to provide a higher quality, better performing, and better looking Dual Shear Selector Rod than our competitors. A DSSR will reduce flexibility in the selector rod. Less flex in the selector rod means a more precise shift. The OEM selector could flex and twist a lot reducing the precision of the shift when selecting a gear.

Introducing our E30 DSSR for your 325i/iS. Our DSSR completely removes all the slop that is present in the BMW stock shifter. Paired with our short shift kit, the shifts are even more accurate and precise with little to no increase in effort. Our DSSR is meant for BMW E30 325i/iS models that have the selector rod part 25111221657 and selector joint part 25117503525.. 

Even after a shifter rebuild or installation, some slop can often still be felt in the shifter. The shift selector rod may deflect and cause shifter slop. By eliminating the one slide slip through design, shifts feel more crisp. Machined to extremely tight tolerances, this rod evenly distributes load and eliminates that free play.
